Dennis is continuing to improve on what seems to be an almost hour to hour rate. He walked (slowly) a few laps around the 6th floor with very little assistance. He is able to get in and out of bed much better as well.
The only minor stumbling block he has encountered is some unexpected and rather severe pain in his legs (hamstrings to be exact). Apparently this happens sometimes if some blood gets into the cerebral spinal fluid and gravity takes it to the bottom of the spinal canal. The blood irritates the nerve endings to the legs. With a little extra medicine he is feeling a little better, but he said if it wasn't for the legs he would be feeling really quite well.
He is now resting, but looking forward to tomorrow as that is the day they say you really start turning the corner. I hope to post some really good success stories tomorrow.
